It looks as if some long dormant volcano in the Wrangell / St. Elias has come to life beyond these foothills and is spewing lava up into the subzero winter air, but this is merely a sunset …. Our daystar’s last rays brilliantly illuminating a few otherwise invisible wisps of cloud above the ridge.
